Ok…I have to admit that some efforts were lost during my Birthday Week thanks to the sheer amount of alcohol and food consumed *insert sheepish grin*. BUT…I did lose the weight that I put on the week after and I did bloat a little thanks to my period. Thus, I don’t have much to report in terms of inches and weight from Week 6.

I must be honest that these 2 weeks were a bit tough for me because shortly after my birthday, a friend asked me about the programme and turns out that he’s already a member of Unicity and is aware of the products etc. I felt a little put down when he said that if I had really understood the products, I would’ve experienced more weight loss and “amazing results”. He also mentioned that I did not focus on the 4-4-12 and ‘building the plate’ on Instagram. To add, my physical trainer felt that I wasn’t pushing myself and that I tired out easily from “simple exercises”.
Now…2.5kg weight loss is really A LOT to me because it is really very difficult for anyone with endometriosis to lose weight. To not even acknowledge the effort and weight loss but to say that it could’ve been more was very discouraging. I did feel angry but I also had to pause and remember that not everyone knows that I have endometriosis and even if they did, not everyone understands it. So, when I told my friend about my condition and I kinda did tell him off about it, he didn’t apologise but replied something along the lines of “Oh”.
So, here’s to those who have also faced similar situations – press on! Don’t let the naysayers get you down and find a supportive group of friends or community who will keep your spirits up.
Looking forward to next week’s weigh in!
