Things To Occupy Your Children With This Dec Holidays
Spread the love

Are you thinking of how to occupy your little munchkins this December holidays besides throwing them to enrichment courses? Also, I’m sure you’d like to find some activities to do together as a family! Here are some ideas that I’ve come up with especially now that there are discounts for both the young and the old.

Visit to the zoo

Singapore has an award winning zoo and it’s great fun for the whole family to learn about animals and how our actions impact on the ecosystem. Even after all these years, I still enjoy spending the day at the zoo and when you go with children, it offers a different perspective as they wow and get amazed by the sights.

There’s a special offer now where tickets are going at S$19.20 for adults (U.P. S$33) and S$13.44 (U.P. S$22). Simply enter the code BLOGGERSZOO when purchasing the tickets here.

Promotion is valid from 13-26 Nov and tickets have to be used by 31 Dec 2016.

Sentosa

Don’t know about you but I love going to Sentosa for the beach and all the activities that you can’t find on the mainland. For example, the Luge. One of the most thrilling places to visit in Sentosa Island, Skyline Luge offers a fun family friendly adventure activity. You can navigate down 650 meters of the Jungle Trail or the 688 meter Dragon Trail as thrillingly fast or cruising slow as you like.

Skyline’s Singapore activities don’t stop after sunset. As darkness settles, a whole brand-new adventure awaits you. Thrill-seekers will discover a different challenge while riding down each Luge track with unique lightings. On the Skyride, enjoy a breathtaking view of Singapore as the city skyline and harbour transform into a dazzling city of lights at night.

Do note that there is a height requirement for the Luge, which is why this is more suitable for those with children aged 8 and above.

My suggestion is to go and have fun on the Luge when it opens at 10am, after which you can go over to Siloso Beach and have a beach picnic lunch for the whole family. If Siloso Beach is too crowded, then take the tram to Tanjong Beach.

There is a special offer now on where tickets are going at S$13.60 (U.P. S$18) when you enter the promo code BLOGGERSLUGE when you purchase your tickets here.

Promotion ends on 19 Nov and tickets have to be utilised by 31 Dec 2016.

Playgrounds

We all have heard about the biggest playground at Marine Cove and it’s crowded but that’s the beauty of it. There are loads of children and their parents around – meaning that children get to play with other children while the parents can also socialise while their kids use up a lot of energy running around.

Another park is the Water Park in Bishan, which gives loads of fun for the children to run around while trying to spot any wild life around.

No matter what activity you choose to do, there are lots of things to do and see in Singapore. Like my friend, Vinnie of Nanos Arte, has said, it’s better to do a digital detox as a family by setting that smartphone or tablet aside and just bond more meaningfully as a family. Have fun!
