What hectic January and February it has been so far!! It seems like a never-ending slew of things happening and things to do. My to-do list is getting longer despite me cancelling a lot of things off…(>.<) The backlog!!! But…I’m glad that I got a mini break over the Lunar New Year weekend and caught up with relatives and friends. A “muted” New Year I pre-ordered Yu Sheng from Donki and as if I wasn’t a fan before…this has turned me into a full blown one for even CNY louhei! I bought the Salmon Yu Sheng (S$38.90) and it was...
Review – SPARKS Hand Sanitiser & Disinfectant
Do you have sensitive skin? Prone to eczema (like me) or other skin conditions? Then you probably wouldn’t be using a lot of the commercial hand sanitisers and disinfectants out there because they either have alcohol or they merely contain a cocktail of essential oils which kill bacteria but not viruses (which COVID is), and essential oils may also trigger skin sensitivity. I was introduced to SPARKS a couple of weeks back and I’m loving their products! Let me tell you why. SPARKS Hand sanitiser I believe that I should be drinking more alcohol than my hands are. Haha. Jokes...
Onward | Book Thoughts
Last night’s Blinkist was “Onward” by Elena Aguilar and it is about cultivating emotional resilience in educators. Kinda hit home because I’m currently teaching full time while running my online business and although I teach young adults, all teachers will face pretty similar emotional issues. Moreover, students can pick up on your attitude and emotions, even if they can’t put it down to words. I have found that when I have a positive attitude towards the class that I’m teaching, I often will get positive attitudes back – which is important for both teacher and student. To summarise, the 7...
Reframing Your Body Image Workshop
Something that I did last August was the “Reframing Your Body Image” workshop during the Sugar & Spice Festival, and I was really happy to receive very positive feedback for it. As such, I really want to do it with more people, especially those who are suffering from a lack of self-confidence. Body confidence is definitely not something that can be gained overnight, but I want to enable people with the same tools that I use so that we know when to shut out the negative thoughts, work on bettering ourselves and realising that sometimes, we are our own worst...

1-Day Whisky Ambassador Workshop
As per my action plan, January’s ‘something new’ was a 1-day Whisky Ambassador workshop which was conducted by The Beverage Clique. The whole day course is S$680/person and Singaporeans can use SkillsFuture credits to pay for it. If you’re concerned about doing it in-person during this pandemic, then you can opt for the 2-day online course. The venue I have bar-envy right now. The course was held at The Beverage Clique’s office/bar/workshop space…whatever you want to call it…in Boon Lay. As I said, bar-envy. They have the full set of the Game of Thrones collectible whiskies!!!! Again, I’m so jealous....
Unapologetically Ambitious | Book thoughts

Ms. Archambeau currently serves on the boards of Verizon [NYSE:VZ], Nordstrom [NYSE: JWN], Roper Technologies [NYSE: ROP], and Okta [NASDAQ: OKTA]. Not a New Year’s Resolution
As this year draws to an end, it would be normal to hope for the best in 2021 and for the pandemic to finally end…plus also, the usual annual resolution. However, I’ve decided NOT to write my resolutions but rather, an action plan. After all, what’s the use of having a list of resolutions if you’re not going to act to fulfil them OR be all enthusiastic for the first half of January and only to run out of steam thereafter. That is why, I’m going to come up with an action plan for 2021 instead. The goals may not...
What Do Women Want? (and some beauty tips) with Fiona Tan
This week, I speak to Fiona Tan, who is a beauty expert, trainer and Miss Top of the World Plus Size 2016. If you’ve been following me, you would find her familiar as I’ve interviewed her about 3 years ago. Pardon us as we digressed throughout the interview because we’ve known each other for so long now and it just happens naturally. LOL! Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun interviewing Fiona as we caught up with each other and talked about what women want – have priorities changed due to the pandemic? Fiona said that she sees a trend...
What Do Women Want? With Angela Hou
I met Angela through my former business partner and at point in time, she was actively promoting Healsi Water but unfortunately, I couldn’t use Healsi Water for my Kombucha because it is alkaline in nature. Nonetheless, we were still in a lot of common female entrepreneur circles and I finally managed to do an interview with her for Melissa’s Table Top Talk! In this second episode of the series “What Do Women Want?”, Angela was pretty candid about the challenges she faced as a business woman – scams, dealing with partners who didn’t fulfil their side of the promise, etc....
